The Regional Guide for Area 'Groups' is focused directly toward those more private venues that are available for active participation &/or on-premise play. More public meet-&-greet or open forum opportunities are placed to the 'Clubs' section. Mainstream opportunities are listed specifically in Mainstream Venues.

Individuals are encouraged to submit listings for consideration & may eventually be able to post comments on each entry listed. Also please understand that this list is constantly evolving & will be subject to continuous change (even more than Clubs). As a result, interested parties are asked to please report any dead links or changes in the accuracy of the information provided.

Group listings are first segmented by general region, then coded & categorized by the nature of their interest:
- Alternative & Music in Rust. - Lifestyle & Swinger in Green.
- BDSM & Fetish in Red. - Gay, Bi, & Transgender in Purple.

Any groups in 'Italics' carry a status that may be in question & needs confirmation. Some crossover will exist, so the group will be listed by the nature that most predominantly reflects the general practice of its events.

DC TNG (www.DCTNG.com): Social meet & greet happy hours are hosted every Tuesday at Lounge201 on Capital Hill starting at 6pm. On Premise house parties are also held throughout the area. Happy hours & parties are geared towards the young & kinky but are open to all. You must, however, be known to the group or attend at least one happy hour before attending the private parties. DC Spanking Society - DCS (Groups.Yahoo.com/Group/DCS/): A DC based S&M organization devoted specifically to the art & fetish of spanking. So feel free to bring out the paddles, but leave the whips & chains at home!

Club Fem of MD (www.ClubFemofMaryland.com): A group totally dedicated to the Dominant Female & Submissive Male. Located in Maryland between Baltimore & DC. The group hosts a relatively equal degree of single men & women as well as couples for munches, play parties, & social gatherings throughout the area. Membership application is required.

Black Beat (www.blackbeatinc.org): National organization with a local chapter that host special events, socials, & educational opportunities for the African American Culture interested in BDSM.

Silk & Skin (www.SilkAndSkin.com): Hosted by "Wild Thing" at a discreet location in Springfield, Va. Silk & Skin Parties represent a unique concept for the scene. On site play parties are formatted to men in nude while women wear lingerie. Facilities provide full bar (BYOB), more than enough space to play, pool, hot tub, & more.

XOXO (www.Geocities.com/dcxoxo/XOenter): Monthly on premise group for very select couples & women in the Lifestyle. Events sell out at 150 people & feature play rooms, outside deck, DJ & Dancing, in an enticing multi-level venue. All parties are privately held & by direct invitation only. Events tend to alternate between MD & N. VA. (adjacent events are also held in Baltimore & Deleware) - Single Men, Women, & Couples are all welcome.

Harford County Swing Club (HCSC): MoCo: Holds on premise house parties for couples & select women twice a month. Membership is required. Full buffet is served at all events & all events are BYOB. Hosted by Ron & Cookie, the Silver Spring chapter of the Harford County Swing Club.

Open Minded Events (OpenMindedEvents.Blogspot.com): Private group sponsoring Male/Female/Trans erotic salons, & male group parties. Events are for Bi, Bi-curious, Gay, Lesbian & TS-TG / TV in a no-pressure environment. Pics & stats are required for invitation. A donation of $20-$40 are requested per party. There is NO donation for first time attendees. Previously known as Having Parties.

KINK (www.kinktheplayparty.com): A dedicated group offering 2 distinct & different parties. One is specifically for women & the transgender community, while the other is for men. Both are held at a dedicated play space in DC. Down-to-earth & welcoming, they provide discreet events for those who identify as kinky, kink-curious, leather-dykes, leather-bois, with all levels of gender identity or leather desire. Cost is usually $20.

SigMa (www.SigmaDC.org): As a diverse group for gay & bisexual males in the BDSM community, SigMa holds regular events & play parties at its fully equipped play space & dungeon. A free education series (S/M 101) is also held on the second Monday of each month at the DC Eagle. Further events are hosted throughout the year. MAsT / Masters And slaves Together (www.MAsTWashignton.org): Active since 1999, MAsT of Washington serves as a support group for Masters, slaves, & those interested in the M/s D/s lifestyle. Meetings to discuss different aspects of M/s relationships are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1409 Playbill Café (1409 14th St, NW DC). Social Munch follows. Men of Discipline DC (www.MenofDiscipline.com): An alternative leather fraternity of Gay men focused in the BDSM Community as a Lifestyle. Based in the Washington, DC area.

Sons du Soleil (www.SonsduDoleil.org): Gay male nudist group in the DC & Mid-Atlantic region. They provide a yahoo post board & host between 2-4 major functions each year. No membership fee. Small donation for parties to help cover the cost of food, etc.

Baltimore TNG (www.TNGBaltimore.com): On Premise play parties are hosted throughout the area. Social Meet & Greet happy hours are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month at Shuckers in Fells Point. All events are geared towards the young & kinky but are open to all. You must, however, be known to the group before attending a private play party.

Club Femme - A special gathering dedicated to the dominant woman is hosted by Mistress Fawn on the 4th Saturday of each month. Party takes place at her on-site dungeon in Glen Burnie, MD. For more information, email: mzfawn35@aol.com.

SPANK (Fetlife.com/Groups/4837): Just north of Baltimore, over the line in Pennsylvania, & a short cannon shot east of Gettysburg there sits a great little town that seemed sleepy enough but apparently had a good number of kinksters in it. So the lovely Madam Cassie & her buff beau had the great idea of forming a more local venue for fellow people in the scene to meet, mix, & mingle without the need to always travel so far. F.I.S.T. / Females Investigating Sexual Terrain (fetlife.com/groups/4645): A woman's leather & BDSM organization based in Baltimore. They host monthly play parties every 3rd Saturday in their Playhouse Studio as well as workshops on every first Sunday. They can also be seen participating in many community events throughout the year. They do have an application process & pledge period to gain full membership. The Delaware Valley Synergy Group - Please note that DVS is oriented to that of a progressive Polyamorous Group (www.dvsynergy.org/clubportal): One of Philadelphia's best kept secrets for over 30 years now. The DVS is a social/awareness group supporting open relationships & allowing individuals & couples to openly explore alternatives to the traditional monogamous relationship in a very warm, supportive, & humanistic atmosphere. Many of their members are in the lifestyle but they are by NO means a swinger's group. In fact, the DVS is many different things to many different people & will in many cases become what you want it to be. Virginia Friends - An on premise social club holding theme-styled parties & social dances on a monthly basis. Events are held at hotel locations in the Richmond area & are for couples only. Additional Group Listings for the General Mid-Atlantic Region...

Northern Delaware D/s (www.NorthernDelawareDs.com): Since 2004, Steve & tami have been hosting events throughout the year for the D/s community. This includes the NDDS Boot Camp. New members must first attend a munch to be included within the group. Current members must attend a munch, event, or group party at least once every 3 months to remain on the list-serve. There is no fee for membership.

Chesapeake Bay Swinging Boaters (groups.yahoo.com/group/CBSB): An on-line forum for area boaters in the Lifestyles Community. They hold regular gatherings in & around the Mid-Atlantic/Chesapeake region. A 'host' (anyone who would like to initiate a member's tryst) will make postings as to their intention for a rendezvous. Members will then respond with their intention to join in the meet. The host will set a location, date, & approximate time, & will guide other boaters to the gathering spot by a predetermined hailing channel. Then the fun begins...

Seaside Encounters - Bummer! Yet another great venue has closed it's doors for good. The Lifestyle's favored weekend getaway to Bethany Beach has sold its house & left the area so it is no more. Quite sad... :-(
